WinMPG Video Convert promises a lot but fails to deliver. It was designed to help its users perform conversions between many multimedia formats. It also includes a tool which can rip DVD discs, and is able to combine multiple videos into one single file. WinMPG Video Convert offers support for video formats like: AVI, MPEG, MP4, 3GP, MOV, FLV, as well as audio and image formats.
It definitely needs to be mentioned that WinMPG comes with a lot of flaws. To start with the less important ones, it doesn't offer access to any settings. As for customizing the graphical user-interface, the users are only allowed to switch between two skins. Furthermore, WinMPG crashes often (at least in Windows 7). Every single time I attempted to convert an AVI file to other video formats, the program crashed when the conversion process finished. I tried converting other video format, but I encountered the same problem.
WinMPG supports batch video conversion, yet it is a complicated and time-consuming process. The users needs to open the conversion tool, select the files to be converted, add them to batch, and afterward open another tool that was especially designed for this purpose. In my opinion, these are a lot of unnecessary steps for such a simple operation.
I think you should avoid using WinMPG Video Convert. It is a time-consuming program and fails to do its job properly. There are other video converters available that will efficiently do the job.
